I enjoyed the book very much. I especially like how the author prefaces every chapter with Scripture verses! The only criticism I have is that we weren't informed that it wasn't a stand-alone book. Although it was free when I purchased it, I wouldn't had read it if I knew that there wouldn't had been an ending to the book; that I would have to purchased the next in the series to find out what happens with these characters. We should be informed of all of 'that' ahead of time.Product details

Finally started and finished this one. Really a great story. Held my interest. Can’t wait to get started on No.2. Is there a date for the electronic version to be released?
I really enjoyed this story but there were quite a few typos and when I read over them, they drive me crazy!
Good book has a good pace
There were so many grammatical errors in this book that I didn't even finish it.
I so enjoyed this story with all the plot twists and turns! Very interesting characters make you care about them. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
I managed to wade through this book because I don't like to leave one unfinished. I did not read the reviews as usual so I did not realize there was no end. Read the next book for that. In my opinion, it is not a compelling enough story to buy the next book.
I liked this book and bought it on because it was free. I knew nothing about the author. I would describe it as a bit of a Downton Abbey in Texas. I liked the writing and the characters and it held my attention. My only criticism is that it needed some editing because sometimes within one chapter the time would jump a month or even a year. When I purchased it I didn't realize it was a series and while I wanted to know what happens, I wanted to read another book and I did not read the next in the series. But it was very fast-paced and held my attention and was a nice surprise. I would recommend it. I will probably go back and read the next one.
